The Auto-Res bus company runs bus services connecting with Merida—located 15 km from Alange—with the main cities of Spain. You can check the schedules price, frequency and duration the routes on the company website (www.auto-res.net) or by phone +34 902 020 999, and also make reservations or buy your ticket in advance. From Madrid, for example, there are around nine services every day. The trip lasts four hours and the price of one round ticket is between about 35 and 50 euros (2006 rates).
Alsa is another bus company that covers the route Seville – Merida, you can check their website (www.alsa.es) or by phone +34 902 422 242.
The two companies above cover practically all the Spanish cities with destination Merida. To get from Merida to Alange there is a company called Leda (Líneas Extremeñas de Autobuses, S.A.) that runs three daily services to Alange, for further information go to their website (www.leda.es)or call +34 924 371 403 (Ticket sale in Merida).

You can visit the Renfe website ( www.renfe.es) or phone +34 902 240 202 to check the schedules, frequency, price, duration of the trip, and also make a reservation or buy your ticket to Merida. From Madrid, for example, there are around five trains a day that take between four and eight hours to reach the destination, with prices between around 18 and 27 euros (single ticket). |

From Badajoz, for example, there is one direct flight daily to Madrid and one to Barcelona, and the prices range from about 300 to 500 euros (round ticket). |
